The Problem:
Since the use of phosphate additives in washing agents was prohibited, an enormous chalk build-up problem exists in sewage treatment plants (before the biological purification stage, slaked lime has to be added to control the pH value). This results in cleaning costs of up to CHF 2O'OOO.- every 6-8 months. Other problematic areas are the pipes for foul water, turbid water, and concentrated sludge, drain pipes, double-pipe heat exchangers, exhaust air washers, ash conveyors etc.

The Solution:
One or several object-specific and adapted RUBBY ® Fluid Control plants are installed. For these applications an inspection of the plant by a specialist is always necessary.
Our proposal for monitoring the efficiency of the RUBBY ® Fluid Control technology has been described in detail in the chapter "Industrial Refrigeration /Ice Production", and is also valid for the present applications.

The Result:
When the control points are opened after 2-3 months, it can be noted that a very slight chalk film has been formed which has ceased to increase. As a result, the productivity of the plant has been increased dramatically, and the enormous cost for cleaning have been eliminated, or at least considerably reduced.
