The Problem: In blocks of flats or commercial buildings, the problem differs not only because of variations in local hardness and composition of the water, but it depends also on the types of sanitary installation. Chalk deposits on boilers, domestic installations, household appliances, etc. here also cause enormous and regularly recurring costs. In oversized pipes, severe corrosion, requiring repairs, can occur within a short time.     The Solution: Depending on the nature of the problem and the types of sanitary installation, a RUBBY ® Fluid Control system is installed in the vicinity of the water meter. If a warm water circulation system exists, an additional back-up device is needed. For such an application, a specialist consultation is indispensable. In order to be able to check the efficiency of the RUBBY ® Fluid Control technology over the course of time, the installation of control pipe runs is recommended.     The Result: Already after a few days, the first successful results can be seen, since in kitchens, bathrooms, and lavatories, the chalk can be wiped off easily, since it no longer adheres to the surfaces. After 6 to 9 months, the control pipe runs should be dismantled in order to check their condition. It can then be noted that a very slight chalk film (< 0,5 mm) has been formed, and that, in the downstream pipes, a considerable reduction of the existing chalk build-up and rust attack has taken place (see photographs). If the boiler is opened, it can be observed that the chalk deposit on the heating element has been considerably reduced, and lies loosely on the bottom of the boiler. Cleaning is therefore simplified and less costly. By numerous conclusive practical tests, proprietors, administrators, and plumbing contractors, have become convinced of the effect of the RUBBY ® Fluid Control technology.
